These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mail Clear (“Service”), operated by Mail Clear (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service Does
Mail Clear reads your unread email, classifies it by priority, and delivers a digest to your inbox. It operates with read-only access to your email provider. It cannot send, delete, move, or modify email on your behalf.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to access email accounts you do not own or have explicit authorization to access
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
4. OAuth Access
By connecting Gmail or Outlook, you authorize Mail Clear to access your email using read-only credentials. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account settings. Revocation is immediate.
5. AI-Generated Content
Mail Clear uses AI to classify emails and suggest actions. These classifications and suggestions are for informational purposes only. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on digest content. Mail Clear does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated classifications or action suggestions.
6. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mail Clear is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes by email.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
